🌿 Palak Paneer – A Healthy & Delicious Indian Classic

Palak Paneer is one of the most loved vegetarian dishes in India. Packed with the goodness of iron-rich spinach and the protein of paneer (cottage cheese), this dish is both nutritious and comforting.
🥘 Ingredients

2 cups fresh spinach (palak) leaves, washed

200 g paneer (cubed)

1 onion, chopped

2 tomatoes, chopped

1 green chili
-
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

1 tsp cumin seeds
-
½ tsp turmeric powder
-
1 tsp red chili powder
-
1 tsp coriander powder
-
½ tsp garam masala
-
2 tbsp oil or ghee
-
Salt to taste

Fresh cream (optional, for garnish)
🍳 Method

Blanch Spinach – Boil spinach leaves for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to cold water. Blend into a smooth puree.

Cook Base – Heat oil/ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, onions, and sauté until golden.

Add Masala – Add ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes, turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, and cook till oil separates.

Mix Spinach – Add the spinach puree and cook for 4–5 minutes.

Add Paneer – Gently add paneer cubes and simmer for 3–4 minutes.

Finish – Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with cream if desired.

Palak Paneer pairs best with naan, roti, or steamed basmati rice.
